BECOMING A CONSERVATIVE COUNCILLOR.
ARE YOU ONE IN A THOUSAND?
Approximately one elector in a thousand in Eden is a District Councillor. Eden District has around 41,000 electors and 38 District Councillors. Could you be a District Councillor and do you support the aims of Eden Conservative Group?
Do not rush to say yes because being a Conservative District Councillor is not easy. You will need to demonstrate that you are Community minded, that you are able to apply commonsense to a very wide range of Council activities and ideally, you should have a track record of being involved in your Community. Above all, you should not be afraid of hard work and be prepared to persevere when those around are critical of your efforts.
